What is a CNC Machine?
A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine is an automated manufacturing tool that uses computer programming to precisely control the movements and operations of machinery, such as cutting, drilling, milling, or shaping materials like metal, plastic, or wood. Unlike manual machines, CNC systems follow pre-programmed instructions (often in G-code) to execute complex tasks with high accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency, reducing human error and enabling mass production. These machines revolutionized manufacturing since their introduction in the mid-20th century, making them essential in industries like aerospace, automotive, and electronics.
Types of CNC Machines

9.CNC Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM): Uses electrical sparks to erode material from a conductive workpiece submerged in dielectric fluid. Perfect for hard metals or intricate molds where traditional cutting fails.
10.CNC 3D Printer: An additive manufacturing variant that builds parts layer by layer from filament or resin, contrasting subtractive CNC methods. It's used for rapid prototyping.
Other specialized types include pick-and-place machines for electronics assembly and 5-axis machining centers for advanced multi-angle operations. The choice of machine depends on material, precision needs, and production volume.
