An electrical prototype (also commonly called an electronics prototype or electronic prototype) is a preliminary, functional model of an electrical or electronic circuit, device, or system. Engineers build it to test and validate a theoretical design, verify that it works as intended, identify issues, and debug problems before committing to full-scale production.
